Following the interruption to normal activities, we are reintroducing some club walks from the beginning of August 2020, with strict measures in place to comply with health guidance and try to keep members safe. Go to the Covid update tab to see what we will be doing differently. Walk dates and details will be available on the Programme page as and when they are ready.

Please note that these walks are offered on a provisional basis, subject to further changes in government guidance.

Welcome to the Exeter Rambling Club.  We are an informal and friendly group of people who enjoy walking in the wonderful Devon countryside and further afield.

The club is nearly 80 years old, having been founded in 1938, and is affiliated to the Ramblers, the Walking Partnership and HF Holidays.  We currently have around 70 members of all ages and abilities, drawn from Exeter and the surrounding area.

We organise guided walks every Sunday and on some weekdays throughout the year.  See our current programme for more details.  We regularly walk on Dartmoor and Exmoor, the South West coastal path and elsewhere in Devon, Somerset, West Dorset and North Cornwall.

We also enjoy an annual lunch and occasional social events, outings and weekends away throughout the year.

Whether you live locally or are just visiting the area, we invite you to come and join us on our walks. You are welcome to attend two or three walks without obligation, before deciding whether you wish to join the club.

Please feel free to take a look around our website and contact us if you would like more information.
